We have an integrated mission of protection and financial investigations to ensure the safety and security of our protectees, key locations, and events of national significance. We also protect the integrity of our currency, and investigate crimes against the U.S. financial system committed by criminals around the world and in cyberspace.
DIGNITARY PROTECTION DIVISION
Our Uniformed Division’s mission is to protect facilities and venues secured for U.S. Secret Service protectees. Throughout its history, the Uniformed Division has accomplished this mission through individuals who embody honor, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
The National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) was established as a component of the Secret Service in 1998 to provide research and guidance in direct support of the Secret Service protective mission, and to others with public safety responsibilities. NTAC's job is to monitor and investigate all cyberspace for credible threats to the dignitaries, and all counterfeit fraud activity.
COUNTER ASSAULT TEAM
The Counter Assault Team (CAT) is a specialized tactical unit of the U.S. Secret Service that provides tactical support to the Dignitary Protective Division during every day duties, and at events.
CAT Agents are an essential part of the DPD. CAT is the advanced tactical bubble that secures the dignitary’s safety and area on the highest level, from on-spot intervention to overwatch security.
The Uniformed Division of the Secret Service is tasked with providing security to the residences of all Dignitaries of San Andreas, as well as Public Official locations. These agents represent our presence at said locations, and provide total site security for the duties responsible by the Secret Service.
